It's true the amongst my family and friends, I'm known as the one who points out obvious simple truths (my sister calls me the dinosaur from Toy Story, ugh), but I still wanted to excitedly log in to blogger to tell everyone that I've finally discovered this most beautiful simple truth about writing:
you know when you want to rush home/cafe/library/wherever you write, just so you can get back to your story, because it's been on your mind all day, invading it and making you smile because it is actually waiting there for you to go back to, waiting at this most crucial, most engrossing point?
there, you've nailed it. chances are, your reader will feel the exact same way about your book: something delicious they can turn back to, take up again, lose themselves in blissfully.
and you know when you don't want to write it? because it's just so dry, devoid of life? and you're too drained to strain more story out of you? the reader will feel it too, your lack of passion seeping through your words. go back to where it became ho-hum, cut and rewrite so the umph re-enters. passion for our own words translates into passion from the reader.
See? I told you I was all about the obvious truths.

I also want to say that this tween/teen movie is awesome because the girl doesn't get the guy and it's still all good (another simple truth):

I just posted today after a long absence. And you're right...it felt good and comfortable. I was inspired this morning by a segment on a show called "Sunday Morning" about bloggers. The featured bloggers were so excited and it was passed on to me.
I hope you'll post again soon, although perhaps you're writing other things.
I like the movie trailer. Seems like a good movie even though it's about kids. I'll keep it in mind.
I've actually enjoyed the time I had away from blogging. It allowed me to give more to my writing. Which is what I'm blogging about anyways, lol.
